About The Founder's Cut
The Founder's Cut answers the questions founders ask about video: whether it is worth it, how to get on camera, which formats and platforms work, and how to tell if it is paying off. Published by Dopameme.
The idea
Buyers have started to expect a face. A founder who explains their thinking on video gets trusted faster than a logo that publishes announcements, and short-form video has made that possible for anyone with a phone.
Most founders still have the same handful of questions before they hit record. Is video worth the time for a B2B company? What if I hate being on camera? How long should it be? Which platform? Why did nobody watch the last one? The Founder’s Cut exists to answer those questions directly.
How every article works
- It starts with a real question. We answer questions founders actually ask, in the words they use to ask them.
- The answer comes first. The opening lines give you the direct answer. The rest of the page is the detail.
- Numbers come with sources. Statistics are quoted from the source as published and listed under “Credits & sources” at the end of each article. Examples are labelled as examples.
- It has to be usable. If you can’t act on it this week, it doesn’t belong in the article.
Who publishes this
The Founder’s Cut is published by Dopameme, a content studio that helps founders build viral personal brands through founder-led, short-form video. Every article is written by one of Dopameme’s two co-founders, Talha Abrar and Salaar Ahmed Khan, drawing on the accounts they run and the formats they test.
Where it is genuinely relevant, an article may explain how Dopameme handles the execution side. We are upfront about that on purpose. Each answer is written to stand on its own, whether or not you ever work with us. More detail is in the editorial policy.
